Eline Toebes studied violoncello with Fred
Pot and
Marien van Staalen at the Royal Conservatory
of
The Hague, graduating as both a teaching
musician
and a performing musician.
She has joined the RBO Sinfonia, an orchestra
specializing
in accompanying choirs, in which she also
plays the continuo
parts on a regular basis. She has been part
of several
chamber music ensembles including the Arion
Ensemble
and
Ensemble Contours. Eline is playing in the Ponte Trio,
performing with several pianists besides. For
many a good
year she played the cello in various musicals
produced by
Joop van den Ende.
Contemporary music holding a strong appeal to
her, she likes
to combine this with shows involving dancers
and actors. Eline
plays the cello because the sound of this
instrument can make
you feel each and every emotion.
