Monique Visser studied
piano with Gerard van Blerk
and Geoffrey Madge at the
Royal Conservatory of
The Hague. Upon graduation
she continued her studies
with Jan Wijn and Jaques
de Tiege, under whose guidance
she qualified with
distinction as a performing musician.
Also, she took
masterclasses with Andrej Jansinski and
Steiner. In 1984 she came
second in the International
Arnold Schönberg
Piano Competition, involving a solo
performance in the
Rotterdam Doelen Concert Hall.
Monique has since been an
active pianist in many fields:
as a soloist, in chamber
music (for about a span of ten
years she was part of the
Kallos piano trio), or accompanying
choirs, vocalists
and instrumentalists.
She greatly enjoys teaching piano at the
Gouda music school
